Presidential Address

Dr Mohan Chandran.

My dear colleagues,
Hearty greetings to all of you and your family members!
At the outset let me express my sincere gratitude to you all for electing me as the president of our association for the year 2008-09 for which I am greatly obliged to you all and also making Kentcon-2008 at Kannur a grand success. We had a remarkable period last year under the able leadership of Dr S Madhavan Nair assisted by Dr KG Mathew and Dr P Suresh Babu and their contribution to the welfare of our association is the access to our beginning.
It has been said several times repeatedly that the success of any association is its membership and their active involvement. Hence I strongly appeal to you all to find some time for our association activities, keep interacting with one another, and give your valuable suggestions and opinions so as to let our association grow stronger and stronger.
A very devoted team with Dr Arun Divakar as our Hon. Secretary and Dr V Madhavan as our Treasurer, I am sure that we will strive to reach up to our ideals.
As well respected ENT surgeons, we too have certain commitments to the welfare of our society . One matter which really alarms me not only as the president, not only an ENT Surgeon but as an ordinary citizen is something how we can help the public at large against noise pollution and to prevent noise induced deafness and I strongly recommend to you all to create some awareness to the public through your patients and otherwise in this regard and from your newly installed president let this be my sincere request to all of you along with other social obligations. I am sure that my colleagues in office will concur with me in achieving this goal.
And finally ladies and gentlemen, by virtue of the responsibility vested in me as the president, it is my endeavor to maintain harmony of this association and with this view in mind I strongly recommend to juniors obedience and submission, to equals courtesy and affability and to seniors kindness and condescension.
Wishing you all a very Happy and Prosperous 2009

Thanking you,
With warm regards,

Dr Mohan Chandran.
Kannur.
